‘Bloom where you’re planted’- a simple sentence with a deep meaning. So, what does it really mean? In a nutshell, it means that in whatever state or condition one is in, one should be content. Not at all as easy as it sounds, but not at all impossible either. If a flowering shrub, or any plant for that matter, puts in all grit and work to draw nutrients water and energy from wherever its planted, it grows thrives and blooms. Have you ever seen any kind of reluctance in plants? Metaphorically speaking?
We have often seen people complaining about their locations, their institutes, their jobs, their position, their business and what not. But it’s a skill to not to complain, to make the best of any condition confidently and expect the best. In short – ‘to bloom where you’re planted’!
The fact of the matter remains that how does one go about achieving this? First and foremost is to have a happy, positive and confident attitude.
Expect the best and strive to get it!
If you expect the worst, you’ll get the worst and if you expect the best, you’ll get the best. Learn to expect and not to doubt. Make things possible. To learn to believe is of primary importance to achieve success in any undertaking. When you expect the best, you release a magnetic force in your mind, which by a law of attraction, tends to attract the best
to you. Whatever you are doing, however small, give it all you’ve got, holding back nothing. Throw your heart over any hurdle and your body and mind will follow. A person who’s self-reliant, positive, optimistic, and undertakes his or her work with the assurance of success, magnetizes their condition and draws to themselves the creative powers of the universe. Tackle your problems positively and creatively as it is said that “Problems are just an opportunity that hasn’t presented itself.”
How to have constant energy?
To be able to achieve the best in any situation, one needs to have both mental and physical energy. If your mind tells you that you’re tired or bored, the body mechanism (the nerves and muscles) accepts it as a fact. If your mind is intensely interested, you can keep on at an activity indefinitely. It’s not hard work that drains off energy, but emotional upheaval. Attention to a well-balanced emotional life, conserves energy. Our physical conditions is determined very largely by our emotional conditions, and our emotional life is profoundly regulated by our thought life.
To conserve energy, first relax physically, then conceive your mind as likewise relaxing. The surest way not to become tired is to lose yourself in something in which you have great conviction. You lose energy when life becomes dull in your mind. So, get interested in something, get out of yourself, be somebody, do something. The more you lose yourself in something bigger than yourself, the more energy you’ll have.
So from now onwards, from this very moment, begin to appreciate and thrive in your present location and condition. Only then can you ‘bloom where you’re planted.’
Walk tall my friend walk tall
No matter how down and out you are
No matter what fate has in store for you
Be confident and walk tall my friend, walk tall.
